After much consideration the Board and organising committee have made the decision to cancel the conference in Christchurch.
We have made this decision early to give the members who have registered and organised travel time to reorganise their arrangements and in consideration of the health and safety of all the participants whether they be our members, trade stand holders, presenters and staff at the facilities.
The situation is very volatile, new restrictions are being imposed daily, means of travel are being changed and there is the possibility of changes that would impact your ability to arrive on time. There is also the potential that many members will be advised to self- isolate as has happened elsewhere. Even now we are asked to social distance and in the conference setting that will be very difficult.
The conference fees will be refunded in full. Fiona our secretary will contact those who have paid to arrange this.
Arrangements for the AGM are being considered and you will be advised in due course.
We are very sorry to have to do this. The Conference Committee have worked tirelessly to plan an educational and entertaining conference and we thank them so much for their efforts.
