Wanaka

 

Wanaka Bed and breakfast are an active a lively group of around 23-25 members who meet up regularly. We love networking and collaborating to ensure visitors in our region have a wonderful bed and breakfast experience. We meet monthly for coffee on the first Wednesday or Thursday of the month at a local café. Four times a year we have an open forum meeting for all our members to raise questions and essentially pick the brains of our experienced members and learn now strategies for tackling any issues. We are quite social and arrange Famils for local activities so we can share this experience with some enthusiasm  with our guests. We also like to celebrate successes and special occasions.

We are proactive  with Local Council where they listen to our collective wisdom in the B&B visitor accommodation sector and assist with local issues. We also use this collective voice in our regional tourism organisation getting great promotion of our sector.  

Over the busy summer we run a duty B&B roster system where we collate all coming inquiries and divert them to other B&Bs with vacancies within our membership. We regularly get out and visit members within our group and familiarise everyone with how the different member properties work which help when we refer guests we are unable to host to other suitable options within our Association.
